Things to smile about.

I have not written for a while as let’s face it like most Gunners I have been in mourning (also I have been really busy at work). But now we can look on the new day with our heads held high. Arsenal are top of their Champions League group and now with the win over Stoke yesterday have moved up to 7th. That is only 7 points behind United, who would have thought a few weeks ago, when I used my tears to wash my dishes that I would be saying that.

What is great is that, that 8-2 loss has been haunting me ever since, but now thanks to Money bags City giving United an absolute hiding, I am all smiles. This begs the question, which loss is worse. In both there was a red card, so we will throw that factor out the window. United were at home, Arsenal were away. United had a full strength side and fancied themselves for the win. Arsenal had a side that would struggle in the Championship and were hoping for a miracle. So just from looking at that I VOTE that United’s result was far worse. But this is by no means biased at all.

What is also great is that Chelsea our next opponents suffered a defeat with two red cards and it now looks like they are going to be without Bosingwa, Torres and Arsenal’s kryptonite Drogba, simply great. To top it off it seems Mata has picked up a knock and is a doubt for the Gunners clash. This is great news because to be honest I didn’t fancy our chances against Chelsea, but now, the smile on my face is growing.

Bolton in the Carling cup this week and I know all our first team boys will be rested, certainly captain fantastic Robin Van Persie will be out, but I do hope to see Park get a run. I hope this can inspire the boys and give them the confidence they need to push and push hard.

Keep the Faith…..
