There are rumors and then there are rumors, this is the later, Eto’o has again been linked with Arsenal, the Inter man has stated that he wants to play in the premiership before his playing days are behind him. Having already been a success in Spain and Italy, us Guns would welcome him with open arms...
At the 30 the striker still netted 21 goals in the league last season so anyone who says that he is past it should re think that. I’m pretty sure that this is just a pipe dream but with him making many comments about wanting to come to the premier league, we could maybe be seeing him in the Premier League come August, whether it will be for Arsenal remains to be seen.
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti, however had this to say:
“All I can say regarding the transfer rumours about Eto’o, Sneijder and Maicon is that I have spoken to them and they have all told me that they do not want to leave the club,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
But you know how often have presidents told lies and said players are going nowhere then the next thing you know your player is on the next bus to England. So I still have a little hope, isn’t that what transfer Gossip is there for, to give hope to some fans and nightmares to others.
I would love Eto’o to come, playing next to the Mighty VP would be a sight and add some real fire power to a Gunners side that was criticized last season for their lack of finishing, so I guess just Keep the Faith…..
